what will my magazine be called?
The title of my magazine that i have settled on is RAW. I chose this name as my magazine will be based on raw new talent. i like the idea of new bands being un-edited by the music industry and being pure and raw and their own taste so that they haven't been changed at all. The title is basing on home grown bands and musicians not media created ones and i felt that this title was the best description of this. The word RAW in its self is also like roar, which is very in your face, making the magazine stand out.
who is my audience?
The target audience for my magazine would be based on male and females ranging from early teens to around mid twenties. This audience has been chosen because i didn't feel that there was a magazine of this genre basing for people of this age.
finances?
I'm thinking about ranging my price from around 2-3 pounds as i want my magazine to be affordable but not too cheap. Id like my magazine to be affordable as on average it would be students buying it, whom are commonly known to not have a large amount of disposable income.
what will the content of the magazine be?
Then content of my magazine will be based on new to the media bands/artists which are their own sound and not yet edited by the media. Id also like to mix fashion with in this as most band/artist magazines only advertise band merchandise and i feel that they are missing a very large target audience out by doing so. I believe that mixing in more fashion within the magazine will influence the amount of sales and wider range of people reading it.
