IMAGE USED FOR FRONT COVER

This is the image i chose out of the shoot i took for my front cover. I took it with low lighting as i wanted a dark background on the front of the magazine and i felt that it would look better this way. I planned out the photo so that my model was close up and looking into the lens so that she was connecting to the audience, making them want to buy the magazine more.

For this photo i needed dim lighting,
This was used with a lamp and all other lights off. I needed this as i wanted a dark background, however pitch black with flash on didnt make the photo look very good quality
I need a good camera for this, as a good photo makes better sales.
I also needed the perfect model for the shoot. I needed someone that fitted the theme of the magazine well. For example, somebody in pretty pink girly clothing, would have looked very out of place on my style of magazine. I chose grace to wear quite plain clothing as i wanted her hair to be in most of the shot. This also means that her clothes will connect to everyone and that means there's a bigger audience base.
Graces makeup was set up to be quite natural other than the eyes. This was so that her eyes were the main focal point of the image, which once again, look like shes staring out to the audience making it feel more personal.
